








To facilitate access to Trust lands, the Trust operates a computer-based permit system. Those eligible for permits to enter Lake Taupo Forest are:
Eligible persons must first register with the Trust to be entered on to the ‘permit database’ – this entails providing relevant information about yourself, and also requires a visit to the Trust office. Once on the database, you may obtain a permit from either:
Permits are allocated for a 2-week period. A key is required to get into the forest, and these can be obtained from the NZ Forest Managers’ office, Atirau Road, Turangi.
