Lake Taupo Charitable Trust

Lake Taupō Forest Trust formed the Lake Taupō Charitable Trust in 1997. Grants were established to assist the owners and their descendants.  Since 2014, the trustees have been redirecting the grants towards a Forest Management Programme.  The purpose and objectives of the trust continues to be maintained through these changes.

The Lake Taupō Charitable Trust (LTCT) administers funds for Māori community charitable purpose that benefit purposes that benefit Lake Taupō Forest Trust owners and their descendants. These purposes include:

  • the promotion of health, social, cultural, and economic welfare;
  • provision of grants for educational purposes.
