Lake Taupō Charitable Trust
The Lake Taupō Charitable Trust (LTCT) was formed in 1997 to provide grants to the owners of Lake Taupō Forest Trust and their descendants for:
- the promotion of health, social, cultural, and economic welfare;
- the provision of grants for educational purposes.
The main grants administered by LTCT are the Kaumatua grant, education grants and the Paramountcy grant which is an annual payment to Ariki Tumu te Heuheu as an acknowledgement of his tribal leadership in Ngāti Tūwharetoa.
