Manupiri Kaitiaki (Associate Trustee) – Expressions of Interest

Manupiri Kaitiaki (Associate Trustee) Programme – Expressions of Interest

The Trustees of the Lake Taupō Forest Trust are pleased to announce the establishment of an Associate Trustee Programme for interested Owners and Beneficiaries. We are looking to appoint TWO Associate Trustees to gain Governance and Board experience.

Are you interested in gaining Governance experience and bringing your skills and ideas to the table?

The Lake Taupō Forest Trust is looking to appoint two Associate Trustees to introduce them to the world of governance and encourage them to go further.

Our Chairman Binky Ellis says they would like to build experience and confidence into rangatahi, so someday they can become full Trustees with LTFT or other Organisations looking for new and younger voices.

Our whakaaro is that “We are looking for people with fresh ideas. Their education or practical experience could be in a variety of professions or areas highlighting strategic planning, communications, business acumen, leadership and tikanga Māori.”

“Of course, we would love the right people to move upward to be future trustees here at the Lake Taupō Forest Trust, so they can use their experience to benefit this Trust or other Tūwharetoa Organisations.”.

Criteria

To be eligible for this Programme you will need to fit the following criteria:

  • A registered Owner or descendant of an Owner
  • You must be available to serve a whole term (1 year, 11 hui), as well as attend to any subcommittee work and wider reading
  • Preferably between the age of 25-35
