Lake Taupo Forest Trust

In 1968 the Maori Land Court Order established the Lake Taupo Forest Trust to represent the interests of the owners of 68 separate Maori land titles on the eastern shores of Lake Taupo. The Trust now acts on behalf of more than 12,500 beneficial owners who retain their shares in the lands. 

Lake Taupo Forest Management acts as the Trust’s forestry advisor.
